El Nino,
the sleepy little boy,
is awaking from his
long nap.
His
wailing winds
blast high speeds across
Cal-i-for-ni-a.
His
tears rain
down soaking
parched land.
His
diaper, full from
floods and brown,
sludgy mudslides, reeks.
He
throws tantrum
after stormy tantrum
until finally spent,
he's, hopefully, put
our years of drought
behind us.
