There has been plenty of sizzle and pop in this neighborhood for a week already. People buy fireworks at the little temporary stands that sell fireworks and they can't wait till fourth of July. Hope you have a great weekend, Ronda. Hugs.

Still gotta get through to five o'clock tomorrow. But things will be poppin' after that!

Hi Ronda,

Just keep buzzing around and doing what you need to do. Sometimes life does interfere with blogging and life is a lot more important. I am sometimes amazed that you even have time with all the hours you work.

I hope you have a sizzling and popping weekend.

We used to have three fireworks factories in our city. When we first moved here we did not know that from March to May they would test the fireworks every Thursday night. It was pretty cool in that every Thursday night everyone in the neighborhood would sit out on their front lawns and get to see a free and spectacular fireworks show from one of the factories during these months. Then after so many years, one of the employees committted suicide and blew up the factory. The explosion was so large that it registered on the Richter Scale. It also effectly ended our free fireworks show since they then had to move the factory. But it was great while it lasted.

One of our neighbors somehow buys fireworks and he puts on a show for everyone. People come to our street to see it. Plus there are a lot of others that do it. Tonight hubby and I were out by the cars and someone started early, next thing we knew the sky was lighting up. Most cities in SoCal have had to ban fireworks due to the fire hazzards, but because they are still made in our city, they cannot put a ban on them. On Sunday my city will be popping all over the place. Hubby usually barbeques and everyone comes to see the show. The guy spends over $20,000 each year so we get a pretty good show. Maybe I will actually try to take some pics this year. Well if I don't forget.

Have a great weekend and love the new header with our great American flag. Most flags around here are Lakers flags, or south of the border flags.

I am so glad that I did not disappoint with the new Opal Nation, I always worry if anyone really likes it. And to be able to give Brian the shivers is really cool. Never thought I could do that.

Have a great 4th of July.

God bless.

Sometimes blogger is too much. For a while there my comments would disappear. This time it posted it three times and would not even tell me my comment was saved. LOL Blogger just loves me so much. NOT

Could you please delete those two deleted comments and this one if you would like to. Please, please. Thanks.

It's Snap crackle pop here, Ronda- Rice Krispies. My nephew is visiting and is the pickiest eater alive. It's been Rice Krispies all weekend. Today my husband went out to get him rice cakes. He complained that they were the wrong size!! No pop for this kid, though - he doesn't even like soda. I guess that's a good thing. Have a great 4th !!!

Hope you've had a sizzling pop kinda weekend too Ronda!

We've had fun, and are going swimming at my sister's today, but gosh I think I'm gonna need another few days off to recover from the holiday weekend!

Best part of ours so far? Watching my dog speed-walk from the neighbor's house back to his doghouse with a whole cooked chicken in his mouth. Apparently he raided the cookout. :)

Sizzle and pop - sounds like an Australian weekend BBQ.
It's mid winter down under but I'm in London sizzling (the locals think 26degrees is sizzling!!) with my sister-in-law who got married yesterday.
It's all go here in swinging London.
Happy summer to you Ronda.
PS in spain the kids all drench each other with water bombs at night on the summer solstice and go swimming at midnight. Pity if you get between them.

Sis, boom, bah. Or how ever that all is spelled. Summer is always a blogging lull for everyone. Enjoy.

I miss you around here, Ronda girl! I know, I know, you needed some time off, and I'm happy you're taking it.

But it's lonely in blog-land without you!

Just checking in to see how you are doing with all that Sizzle and Popping that you are doing. I hope it is going well. My Sizzle fizzed and my pop pooped out, so I know how you feel.

Keep doing what you need to do and we will still be here waiting, we always are.

God bless.

Hey Ronda. I've noticed that you haven't been around the blogosphere for ages and got worried about you even though I know you said you were going through a busy patch right now.

I hope things are well and that you get back to us soon.
