A Bottle of Red and a Bottle of White

A Bottle of Red and a Bottle of White is an original song that was written and performed by The Receivers on Saturday night. To dispel the doom of Dreary, Dreary First of Oct, the band put on a party. It was a Not So Dreary Third of Oct as there was plenty of outdoor rock.

Youngsters, oldsters, and animals, raising a defiant finger (or paw) to the intruding stormy weather, partied together in the style which is our custom.

That little bit of rain did nothing to squelch the good times and spirits.

In the Wonderland, just as our elders raised us to rock, so we have raised our young. They, in turn, pass on the tradition to their babies. Families that party together, grow hearty together.

For those about to ROCK, we salute you!

I saw the title and thought of the Billy Joel song!

What's a little rain, it worked for Woodstock!

I love the families who party together grow hearty together! That makes us a pretty hearty lot which is good to hear. If it's any consolation, it's October weather here too! And I don't mean spring sunshine! Hope the clouds stayed away for the duration.

Yay, a family party!! Good times had by all. The photos look like everyone is happy to be there.

Otin: You are right! The rain did work for Woodstock. You just have to huddle closer, right?

Leah: We have fun in our minds too...how do you think we come up with these crazy ideas? I've read your posts, your mind is a lucrative field of dreams, fetishes and fantasies.

Brian: Poison and Tesla? Those were pretty heavy hitters for your first. Mine were Santana and Rod Stewart and the Small Faces. Guess the year. Well, on second thought, don't. You'll have to count too high.

Jai: Thanks, Jai. Only a few more days until you leave for India, yes!

Baino: I've read about your family parties and you are a hearty lot. You have strong ties. That's right you are at the beginning of spring down under aren't you?

TechnoBabe: Yes, everyone was happy to be there and we had a great time. I think it was our high spirits that kept pushing the rain away. Or, maybe, it was just spirits of the alcohol.

Candie: You are quite the little Rock Queen yourself. Sending the salute back at ya.

Glad you guys are living it up!

Megan: You do rock!

Jill: Those are pretty much the words of the song. A bottle of red. A bottle of white. What ever gets you through the night. What ever makes you feel just right.

Dorraine: It was a lot of fun. I guess everyone was just ripe for the party.

Otin: Oh...I don't know about being way to young to be a Cougar. I do belong to that category by age. Just not by choice. Happy 44, baby boy.

Christina: Sometimes family parties are hard. Depends on the dynamics. It helps when there are a lot of people there who are not family to help carry you through.
