Wonder Flux

There is a lot going on in the Wonderland right now! Changes, rearranges, transformations, and shifts are occurring in many areas of the Queendom.

Communication will be sketchy for a couple of weeks. The Wonderland is still experiencing computer connectivity issues. Since getting a new computer and modem in April, I am still constantly trying to stay connected or re-connect to the Internet. The queen is experiencing a royal pain in the tukus. I have traced the problem to the fact that the modem the cable provider is using is not compatible with Windows Vista. After all the time I've spent with tech support, you would think they would fess up that the problem is on their end. This is obviously something of which they have to be aware. All they tell me is that my modem is getting their signal so there should be no problem. I say big problem if I am getting the boot and having to do system restores several times a day. If they would have told me this right up front, I could have just gone and bought my own modem instead of using the one they provide. So, the queen will be working out these complications while rolling a few heads.

Visitors are due to arrive in Wonderland on the first of July. My brother-in-law and his wife are coming out to the left coast. It has been nine years since their last visit. I will be changing my workplace the first of August. More on this later. I am in the midst of a whizz-bang cleaning and organizing binge. I am not sure what has come over me, but there are big changes on the wind.
I am having a Feng Shui moment. An ancient Chinese system, Feng Shui uses the laws of both Heaven (astronomy) and Earth (geography) to balance energies and promote positive qi, or good energy. And so it goes with my work environment, my home and yard, myself and my family. And the dogs better not stop in one spot for too long or they might end up with Mohawks. I am not very well educated in the art of Feng Shui so am going at it with more of an intent than strict adherence to the laws.

I have a correction on my last post, Lithia. It should have read that the Summer Solstice occurred in the Northern Hemisphere and the Winter Solstice occurred in the Southern Hemisphere. I have always believed it to be this way, but I went to a site to get the solstice time and it was stated as being in the Eastern and Western Hemispheres. I looked at a global map and it looked like it could be plausible. Thanks, Reya, for pointing out the error and allowing me the opportunity to correct the information.

For the next couple of weeks, I will be limping around Blog World as nimbly as possible. But as the Red Queen says to Alice, “it takes all the running you can do to keep in the same place. If you want to get somewhere else, you must run at least twice as fast as that!”

I hope you get it all worked out, it sucks that they do not give you the right modem to start with And we had to buy our own WIFI at Costco and set it up ourselves, it seemd easier that way.

After it works than you get to put up with blogger telling you that this doens;t work and that don't work. Or that the Operation failed, and then it's systems are just going to shut your system down. And there are a few others that it does. Oh. Well what can anyone do it needs to be the maintenance department.

God bless.

Otin: I don't mind problems if I can find a solution. Bam! Done. But when they go on and on, it gets annoying.

Subby: Oh, I won't burn out. I'm very good about pacing. Take it to the limit and then back it off a notch. Damnable comptuer blues.

Candie: Feng Shui is magical isn't it?

Brian: How are you doing all of your posts if your offline?

Mary: I'll be thinking of you too.

Sherry: You are so right. If its not the net blues, it is Blogger blues. So annoying when technology starts denying you.

Oh Ronda! I too am in flux. Sometimes it can be a good thing--sweeping up the old tired ways and things and refreshing one's self and soul! I hope it's ultimately this way for you.

And by the way, I loved your Lithia post.

OH, I just saw Candie's comment! See, Candie, we really do have a similar way of looking at things!

xo to all

Leah: I really like clean starts and flux too. And boy do I have the big broom out right now. I know, that Candie is something else isn't she?

Uncluttering can unclutter the mind as well. I just need the 'excuse' to crack on with it. Good luck with your connection and have a wonderful time entertaining - never heard it referred to as the 'left' side before!

Ronda Laveen said...

Baino: Yes, I think it is the uncluttering of my mind that triggered the house cleaning binge. I lot of new information is simmering in the ol' brain bones.

Sometimes you have to go faster, but in Wonderland, sometimes you have to slow down.

Enjoy the free time!

oh dear, i hope the pain in the tukus (always wondered how that was spelled) eases up soon

Ronda Laveen said...

Reya: Very true, Reya. In Wonderland, time is a very elusive thing.

Lettuce: I had to google tukus for correct spelling. I wasn't sure myself.

I hate to quote the great Michael Caine but here goes: "Easy Peasey Lemon Squeezy." You got a lot going on and it sounds like potential fun to have, except for the connection issues. I hope the transition to a new work place is smooth and fun. And family visiting is always fun (unless you're talking about my family which means a gallon of cheap wine).

Sorry I missed your post last week - it was a crazy week with family occasions and my mother returning from a trip.

I just love your gorgeous new header! It is stunning!

I hope your computer issues get resolved soon. It's no fun being restricted from blogging, is it?

Hi! Ronda,
I hope that everything will be up and running
soon!...Speaking of running, I'am running a little behind due, to the fact, that I'am under the weather!
Thanks, for sharing the info(rmation) about Feng Shui, but, I must admit that you do have a lot on your plate. Therefore, I hope that you, work every thing out real soon!
Take care!

Mindy: In our family, it is usually two gallons of wine:-) Not a complaint, mind you.

Kat: It has been a crazy week with no sign of slowing down. My astrologer friend sez it is the Venus moon...a busy, busy time!

DeeDee: So sorry to hear you are ill. I am happier to be just busy. Sending healing thoughts your way. There there are, feel 'em?

Family visit, new workplace, dog grooming, feng shui, computer issues, oh my!

You know, I was away from the computer for three days. Most of the time I didn't miss it, we were so busy, but sometimes I did. This darned blogging thing sure hooks a person, doesn't it?

Ronda Laveen said...

Megan: You are so right. It does hook you.
