Uranus Unleashed?

How I came to arrive at this specific point in time was, seemingly, a series of random incidents. Now, in the ever darkening slip of day into night, I see that this alignment was no accident. A fissure in the dimensional ordering of the universe had opened. Energies were streaming through ruptured space with a feral ferocity that rendered the people nearest the opening at their mercy. Their will was no longer their own.

As he turned the corner, another driver plowed through the intersection hitting him. Their cars kissed with a smack. Pieces fell like amputated body parts from the two cars. The rocking wheel-well liner marked time like a metronome for the chrome bumper. Shimmering with the rainbow of the flashing signal lights, it skipped across the pavement like a stone off of water. The low speed impact left both drivers unharmed. Their vehicles clattered and steamed off the main road coming to rest on the side street.

Information was exchanged. Denials of fault were, hopefully, tendered. Each sought the sanctuary of spotlessness. They took my name as witness. Looming like a backdrop in a 50s, B movie, the silver diner flashed its neon 'WELCOME' sign. Like a sign of welcome at the gates of Hell, I find no solace here. I surrender all thoughts of control I once held about how this night would unfold. I wasn't going anywhere soon. In fact, I wasn't going anywhere for quite some time.

From across the street, I hear the dull "thunk" of bone covered flesh smashing fleshy gut. Shouting. Scuffling. Two shadow-men circle each other. Watching. Gauging. Punching. Kicking. I call the criss-crossed street sign of Market and Trinity streets into the holy service of protection. More shadow people surround them trying to break up the fight. Voices yelling, "Just take a walk, guys. Take a walk. The cops are coming." Like two animals posturing, neither wants to be the first to signal weakness. Finally one turns, sets a metal cigarette sign swinging with a ringing blow of his fist and is surrounded by his homies. The other lets fly a primitive shriek on the sky, "A-R-G-H-H!!!!" Frustration hangs on his shoulders as he walks down the street.

Her Botticelli body moving with amazing speed, a young woman chases him down. "Call me c**t!," she dares him. "Call me a c**t again! CALL ME A C**T," she screams. He wants to. Oh, he wants to real bad. Nose to nose, they stand. Her hand raised. His body rippling with the energy of restraint. If he lets one syllable of that cacophonous word loose, she'll rip into him with carnivorous delight and devour his slight frame. The red and blue flashing lights of the PD cruisers bring an end to the stand off. She vanishes like a magician.

Screaming like a wild animal, his battered body lumbers through the intersection. Unsteady hands fumble. Metallic clanging resonates upon the ground. The glint of oncoming headlights spark the foil on the asphalt like a star in the night. A knife? A piece of metal off one of the cars? Finding it first with his boot, he picks it up and hobbles down the sidewalk screaming "F**K" to the night.

Cruiser after cruiser roll by. Some stop for the accident. Some stop for the fight. Some light up and roll, with their siren's screeching, in hot pursuit. Ambulances arrive to carry any torn, shaken or injured bodies. EMTs offer assistance. In disbelief, from the cold, stone walkway under the nearly full, winter white moon, I watch this apocalyptic scene erupt. At any minute, I expect fires to flare and tidal waves to crash on this beach of destruction consuming the insanity. In contrast to the ugliness of the night, a cute, female, fair-haired officer, ponytail swaying, warns us to go inside and lock the doors. The hunt is on for a bad guy. Someone was knifed during the fight.

The next morning this vortex of energy is still wide open. As I approach that same corner, something seems odd. Shielding the sunlight from blinding my view, I can see a ball cap. A ball cap and a shoe lie in the middle of the road. An old man, pulled off to the side of the road, leans against the open door of his white, 1992 Chevrolet. Gray hair standing in the breeze, lined faced even more furrowed with bewilderment, he stares down the road. The scene is set. He's hit someone. But there is no body. No body at all. Vanished. Usually it is the hitter that runs not the victim. I wonder how much longer this area will be under attack as the search helicopters thump-a-thump-a through the air. Weird. Freaky weird.

Later, I learn from the pony tailed officer that the stabbing victim was the guy who had the knife. Some how he had stabbed himself becoming both the villain and the victim. And the missing body, well, he'd been running from the police who were searching his car for meth when he got hit. He kept running until they finally found him down by the river. Whether this flux comes from the "direct" energy of the planet Uranus or the full moon, I don't care. Enough is enough. I pray at the cross of Market and Trinity, "please close these portals quickly because the chaos that is reigning supreme is too strong for mere mortals. Way too strong. "

I'm reading this at 3:50 a.m. and the resonance of your words is so strong that I'm just bowled over.

An incredibly vivid description of a violent, chaotic confluence of events. May the portals close quickly.

You had me laughing when I saw your title in my reader . . . .then I crashed. Do you really believe that these things are destined? I'm about to sign an agent's agreement and have been told sign before 10th December or wait until January thanks to Uranus and a Mercury retrograde. I can sign it by then but there are three other co-signatories who can't possibly sign before the 10th. I dunno Ronda, I love you but . .I can't help thinking this is just stupid people and a stupid drug that makes them do stupid things. However, it's beautifully written . . .

Boy,you got me biting my nails here! The ones I got left!Oh,really intense and I do belive in the planet's influences too.

Very powerful description of a chain of violent events; unfortunately, these things happen on the roads all the time, at least where I live. Sorry you had to witness such an awful 'spectacle'.

I do believe there is something in the pull of the planets. That or this is a pretty rough neighbourhood to begin with, wot? It's like this pretty much all the time, here in Masaschusetts, Mayhaps our portal is stuck open? Just a thought...

Sanctuaries of spotlessness are just fantasies, aren't they? Though we can always hope.

When I've encountered vortices like the one you describe, sometimes I try to get away from them, sometimes I pray (as you did). Sometimes I take chalk and draw sacred symbols at their center, on the road, like spirals or Reiki symbols. It's my gesture to help create an anchor for all the energy, so we humans don't get sucked in.

What I'm glad about is that you didn't get caught in the destruction. You are well protected, thank God.

love,

Leah: Goodness, girl! What are you doing up at 3:50 a.m.? I did try to capture what I saw that night in words. I could only get a little bit of it 'cause it was so crazy. Like blam! Out of nowhere. The portals seemed to have closed and that area is again calm. Blessed be.

Baino: No, I don't believe these things are destined. There is free will. However, I do believe that there are energetic influences around us all the time. And if we are not centered and self-aware, we can get rocked off our base and behave in ways that are not in our, or others, best interest.

That is a big part of what meditation is about--the ability to not get sucked in to the ups and downs of life. Honing the stability to stay on an even keel though your boat gets tipped.

Yes, they are stupid people on stupid drugs, but when I see that many altercations going on at the same time in an otherwise calm neighborhood, I gotta wonder what is causing these people to react so strongly. After all, this is the Wonderland.

About the upcoming retrograde and Uranus going direct, my astrologer friends never make large moves, sign or buy during these times. Like you, I can't always do that. However just be aware that communication snafus and other problems can occur at a higher than normal percentage

I just stumbled into your blog from (I forget where), and I found your writing style to be quite compelling. Your vivid descriptions and use of imagery is fantastic.

Candie: If I've got you biting what little nails you have left, then I've done my job well. Like you, I keep working at this writing thing. Yes, you do know how strong those planets are dont' you? It was Tuesday, December 1.

DUTA: This happens all the time in Israel? Holy Moley! It was so crazy. It was like 360 degree chaos. I just stood in the middle and could turn in any direction and see some wacky thing.

Subby: DUTA (above) lives in Israel and says the same thing about this stuff always going on. I would have never thought it about Massachusetts. This is normally a quiet neighborhood. It used to be a bit rough but was renovated quite a while ago. There are places where the vortices are always open but there are things you can do. Read Reya's comment above.

Reya: No, those spotless sanctuaries don't exist for most of us...not for me anyway. Your observation was spot-on that I did not get sucked into all this. It was like chaotic merry-go-round that I was watching and I would buy a ticket for a ride.

I love your suggestions about anchoring the energy. This is little corner is where I work so I want to ground it as much as possible. I will do some work and let you know how it goes.

Jeff: WELCOME! Thank you for visiting the Wonderland. I am glad you enjoyed my writing style. I keep working on it and it seems it is always changing. Stop in for a rest anytime.

yikes. what a night...and day. perhaps i would take a different route for a day or two. wonderfully told ronda, you kept me glued.

Ronda, I just did( read Reya's comment ). Maybe it's just that there's a whole different plane of existence in Mass. And my luck I'd get hauled off to the nick for drawing on the roads :P But I'm betting the pull of the Atlantic may have something to do with it...

JGH said...

On the edge of my seat reading this! Good lord Ronda, I'm just glad you didn't somehow get mixed up in all th unpredictability. Was there a stoplight at this intersection?

Mike said...

Wow, things seemed to keep snowballing! I am glad that you did not get hurt or anything!

Close that portal in Uranus! LOL!

Alan Burnett said...

Great descriptive piece which I thoroughly enjoyed. My one suggestion is that you find a different route to take for the next day or so.

Ronda Laveen said...

Brian: Good idea to take a differnt route. Yep, checkin' your pants now. Hope all I find is glue.

Subby: If ya get hauled off to the nick, I'll bring you some more chalk so you can write on the cell floor. And I'll help ya explain. Okay, so maybe you're not "a symbol on the street" kinda guy. But you could lay down something lucky or a flower or anything that represents stability. Thanks for the laugh.

JGH: Yes, there was a stoplight but it was one of those that showed green going in both directions with a small sign way up high that is hard to see at dusk that reads, "yield on left turn." Not a very safe light. It was like a 3-ring circus.

Otin: Ha! Back at Uranus!

I think here in the southern part of the state, things like this happen all the time in so many of these cities. I guess with such a great population as exists down here that the vortex of the A-holes sticks it into the uranus of the poor souls unlucky enough to be around. Funny thing is that the full moon does seem to bring the dirt bags out even more. I am not sure if it is because they hunt at night and can see better or if it is the gravitational pull of their mindless thoughts sucked deeper into the vortex of hate that they surround theirselves.

But to have that happen up in the northern part of the state, especially where you live, seems so strange. But then again maybe the vortex opens up just a little more in the north during this time to let a little more of the south shine through.

Keep it closed as much as possible is all I can say. Evil lurks, waiting for the chance to pounce upon those unsuspecting souls during these cycles of the changing tides of fate.

God bless.

PS...speaking of some things, like who is the B-day girl. Geez, I thought you were not going to make us wait forever. Glad that she liked the post. It was fun. Come on at least give us a little clue.

And I do love our sunny weather, which makes one wonder why the crazy people are all down here too. One would think that sunny weather would make everyone happy.

Please give us the answer, please, please, please........

Ronda Laveen said...

Alan: Thanks for the great piece of advice! I will follow it!

Ronda Laveen said...

Sherry: You are SO FUNNY! I nearly tinkled while reading your first paragraph. Oh, I'm so sorry! I forgot all about posting the answer to the birthday girl. She is the third girl on the left!

Dorraine said...

Did there happen to be a full moon that night, Ronda? Studies have suggested more violence on a night lit up with the moon, but I'm sure you knew that.

You had me right there with this peice. Razor sharp descriptions. I'm sorry you happened to be there but then we wouldn't of heard your frightening tale.

The Bleak Poetry Of Chaos. You,Yourself, Must Have Left The Scene Dizzy?

Kate Hanley said...

So compelling. I'm not sure what I believe but you make a strong argument for the energetic pull of the planets. I'll just keep reading and leave my mind open. The story itself though, I have to repeat, is so compelling.

Ronda Laveen said...

Dorraine: The moon was one day short of being completely full. And Uranus turned 'direct' that day after being retrograde for five years. I don't fully understand it, but my astrologer friend says that it was a heavy duty time.

I wasn't sorry I was there. It was weird. I was interacting when I needed to, but became very much the observer absorbing details. I am glad I was able to bring you "there."

Tony: My man, you have a way with words! The bleak poetry of chaos, indeed.

Kate: That's all I ask is that you keep an open mind. I'm not trying to change anyones mind, rather, I'm offering alternate options. As a retired, surgeon friend of mine says, there are a lot of possibilites out there and science doesn't have all the answers. Thank you for letting me know that you found the story compelling. That was one of my goals with this piece.
