Sunshine of Your Love

I've been waitin' so long
To be where I'm going
In the sunshine of your love.

--Cream

It's all about the sunshine right now, in both hemispheres. Here in the north we are gaining the light that the south is losing. Heck, let's face it, for us Earthlings, it is always about the Sun. If our planet were five degrees closer to that molten, hot orb, we would incinerate. Five degrees further away, and we would be an ice planet.

Today, I'm passing out free rays of sunshine. Stick some in your pocket to brighten your day in a time of darkness or when you need a little boost. Take as much as you want, there's no limit. Jai at Jai Joshi's Tulsi Tree sent some my way and I'm paying the favor forward, outward and upward. Wishing good times and sunny skies to all who enter here. Feel free to copy the above image and spread the light around to your blog visitors.

And now, for your musical pleasure, a little vintage Clapton.

You are all the best. Simply the best.

I feel the Sunshine of Your Love!

Cream: Eric Clapton, Ginger Baker and Jack Bruce circa 1968

Oh yeah, hubby and I are so into Clapton. Of course when hubby really gets playing I think he is as good or better. His next CD will show that.

Raj: Hey, good to see you again!

Sherry: Thank you. I am happy to give you a laugh. Life is so much better that way.

TechnoBabe: I listened to the sound bytes of your husbands CD, Bipolar Shaman, and will be ordering it. I agree he's every bit as good as Clapton. He also reminds me a lot of Santana. He is truly blessed with guitar magic. TRULY! I was stunned.

Elisabeth: You're welcome. Sorry about your loss.

Brian: I'll shine on you all day long, brother. My pleasure.

Gemel: Thanks for sending sun our way. In about 7 months I'll be longing for rain again too. Just not today:-)

Reya: Oh, I'm so happy you are having a bright and lovely day. Thank you for the sun blessing:-)

Jai: Thank you, little sister.

Do you think it's too late for me to learn to play guitar like that?

Right back atcha with the sunlight!

JGH: I think you could do it. For me, it is probably too late. There would be this practicing thing I'd have to do. I just want to play like that without spending 10 years learning. TY for the sunshine:-)

Clearly we're around the same age, I remember my mother berating me for listening to Cream, I wonder what she'd think of my own Ginger Baker bless his drumsticks! We have sunshine but the evenings are chilllllllly.

That was AWESOME! What a cool era... I almost wish I'd been old enough to remember it! Happy Beltane.

Dorraine: Girl, take all you need! We need weapons to fight the rain this time of year. A new kind of light saber.

Baino: I think we are pretty close in age. I think I'm a few years older but, Cream was one of my faves back in the day. My mother wasn't keen on them either. Do you remember Ginger Baker's Airforce?

Felicitas: Oh, my you are a young one. Don't worry about remembering that era, there's lots I don't remember either:-)

Sash: Wow! You are so psychic. I was thinking about you all day. I must pop over.
